We began on the thick lawn in front of the downtown court house. I had already dubbed it Laura and Michael's front yard since their second story home looked over the city grounds. Little Caden playfully dodged and rolled in the lush green between posing for my camera. Our little group meandered along the streets these three call home, stopping at a spot that marks a specific event in their life. The two smiled as they told me about Michael proposing at A. Renee, a quiet wine cafe just a block from where we had begun. He said in a soft but confident voice, "I love Laura more then anything."
They forgot about me snapping pics for a moment and recalled moments leading up to the evening he slipped a ring on her finger. It danced beautifully in the afternoon light but nothing could match the sparkle that Michael brought to her eyes with just a look.
