Oh, Claire!

We've had a few moments, Claire and I. Some hilarious, some memorable and some just plain entertaining. A few of my favorites: hanging old family polaroids from a tree in the pasture, creating a spectacle by photographing in the street while her mom directed traffic around us, eating ice cream cones complements of Sam, our new French friend we met on the pier and dodging all over Millennium Park to snap shots while making pals with the security officers and occasionally being asked to climb out of the water way.

Time for fun.

Its been a long day. Actually, its been a long season. More photo sessions then ever, mounds of post processing and dozens and dozens of meetings and house calls. In the middle of my busiest time of year I am deciding to take advantage of the moments I tend to miss in the hustle; to enjoy the little things: posing for silly photos with my smallest clients, taking the dog for a short walk or making dinner with my hubby. I'm going to stop to enjoy a gorgeous day and forget about the cup of coffee I just spilled on the sofa. Here's to a full and incredibly blessed life!

The 3 Musketeers.

I started to count how many times I've photographed these three and I lost count at nine. Every year I look forward to a phone call from their mom, Ellen. I listen to her latest idea for the newest set of photographs to add to her gallery wall, just knowing it will be another adventure. I love this almost as much as I love these kids and their mom. I often tell her to write a handbook on being a fun mom so when I have a house full of kids I can use it as reference. She hasn't agreed yet, so I guess I'll just have to add her name to my speed dial.
